This professional development programme is aimed at senior generalist administrators (apx grades 8-10) who are based either in academic departments or central administrative services. It provides progression from the Administrator Development Programme, and focusses particularly on strategy and change.

Departmental administrators are increasingly expected to support the development of academic strategy; manage change; manage projects and manage and develop staff. This SDP has been specifically designed to meet these challenging and complex needs and includes sessions on leadership styles, strategic planning, strategic engagement and managing change.

The programme comprises 5 days over 7 months, an individual strategically focussed project, a mentoring programme and a series of seminars to complement the group sessions.

Participation in the programme is by nomination only.  The nomination process is coordinated at local level by the School Secretaries and by the Registrary’s Office.
