Secondments are a development activity.  They help bridge the gap to the next role, thereby supporting professional development and career progression.

They increase the skills, experience and mobility of individuals within the University and support workforce and succession planning activity for departments.

Who is eligible?

  • Individuals who are in an administrative role seeking an administrative secondment in order to develop their skills and knowledge and/or progress their career.

Not administrative staff?

  • The guidance documents and templates in this section will be helpful to those in other roles who are looking at secondments as a form of development to support their career progression. For further support on other groups, please contact your HR School team or Learning and Development.
